The S38B36 vent hose which connects the valve cover to the oil separator is finally back, exclusively at Vulcan Motor Works.
BMW discontinued the original hose (part number 1151312861) years ago, leaving owners to deal with brittle, cracked originals and the constant risk of vacuum leaks. On the S38, this hose gets handled every time the valve cover comes off, and after 30+ years most have hardened to the point where they’re almost guaranteed to break.
That’s why we’ve brought it back. Our remanufactured hose is made from high-quality SAE J20 NBR rubber, a 1:1 reproduction it installs just like the factory part.
